Definition
AI recommendation rate is the share of analyzed answers in which an AI platform presents your brand as a recommended option, not merely names it. “LumiHome is a strong pick for small apartments” is a recommendation; “brands include LumiHome and HomeMate” is a mention.
The two numbers often diverge. A brand can be mentioned in most answers yet recommended in few, which usually points to weak or missing evidence for the claims the engine would need to make.
Why it matters
Recommendations move purchases; mentions only establish presence. Tracking them apart shows whether the brand is known, or actually preferred.
How it is measured
Each sampled answer is read for the role your brand plays: recommended, listed, compared unfavourably or absent. The rate is reported per platform, topic and buying stage, alongside the competitors recommended on the same questions.
