Definition
FAQ content is a structured set of the questions customers actually ask, each with a direct, specific answer. Done well, it is one of the most quotable formats on a website because every answer is already shaped like the passage an engine wants.
Done badly, it is filler: generic questions nobody asked, answered with marketing copy. The difference is the source of the questions. Support tickets, sales calls and the gaps in your audit produce FAQs that get cited.
Why it matters
After-purchase and objection questions are where trust is built, and they are the questions review sites answer if you do not.
How it is applied
Take the questions from real demand, answer each in one or two sentences with a number or a fact, add FAQPage structured data, and keep the answers current. Put the FAQ on the page the question belongs to, not only on a separate help page.
