Definition
LLM Optimization is a broader term for making a brand’s information easy for large language models to retrieve, understand and repeat correctly, whether the model is answering a search-style question, writing a comparison or summarising a category. It overlaps with GEO and AEO; the difference is mostly emphasis on the model rather than on the search product built around it.
The practical work is the same: consistent entity information, facts stated in plain text, claims backed by evidence, structure a model can extract, and confirmation from independent sources. Tricks aimed at a specific model tend to stop working when the model changes; information quality does not.
Why it matters
Models change faster than websites. Optimizing the information rather than the trick keeps results across model versions and platforms.
How it is measured
The same measures as GEO: visibility, citations, narrative and claim accuracy on sampled answers. Brand Knowledge checks what models repeat against verified facts.
