What is On-page GEO?

Improving the content and structure of your own website so information is more likely to be found and used in AI search. Answers to customer questions, product information, comparison tables and internal links are reviewed.

Definition

On-page GEO is the work done on your own website so that AI search can find, understand and quote its pages: direct answers to customer questions, specific facts with evidence, comparison tables, FAQs, current information and clean structure.

Good GEO content is not long; it is easy to extract. The first paragraph under a heading answers the heading’s question, numbers replace adjectives, and old versions are redirected rather than left online to compete with the new ones.

Why it matters

Your pages are the one source you fully control. Every citation you cannot win off-page can still be won by making your own page the clearest answer available.

How it is applied

A useful page structure is: question, one-sentence answer, key evidence, data, comparison table, real example, FAQ, sources. Review the priority pages against it, add the missing elements, date the updates and redirect superseded pages.
