Definition
Perception is the picture of a brand that emerges from AI answers: which traits are attached to it, how it is evaluated, which topics come up again and again, and which sources those judgements trace back to.
It goes further than sentiment. “Positive” is a tone; “consistently described as lightweight and quiet, rarely as powerful, with price raised as a drawback” is a perception you can act on.
Why it matters
The traits engines repeat become the traits customers believe. Knowing which of your strengths never appears tells you which evidence the web is missing.
How it is measured
Descriptions of the brand are extracted from sampled answers across platforms, clustered into traits and topics, and linked to the sources cited alongside them. Brand Intelligence reports the recurring traits, the objections and the sources behind each.
